Specialist School Projects
I am currently not offering this service, unless specifically linked to a staff meeting and is an area of school development, due to being a full time headteacher.
As an extremely creative and experienced teacher, I am offering schools Specialist School Projects to enhance the curriculum and the children’s learning experiences. I will take a class or group for a day or more and deliver a bespoke education project, with an agreed high-quality outcome – either practically for the children or by producing a display-worthy piece of work. I will make sure that any physical outcome will be finished and presented creatively (even if this means I come back in for free to get the work finished). The agreed outcome will depend on the amount of time I am in school and the type of education experience you want for the children and for the teachers to see.
As a Primary Drama and Shakespeare specialist, UK Parliament Gold Ambassador, SLE and display expert, I have a wide range of skills and projects I can offer children.

Some examples of the types of projects on offer.
Bespoke Topic Area
I can create a day or longer project on any topic area, with a high quality piece for display at the end (if wanted). This can be done for a single class, year group or whole school / key stage.
Shakespeare Day / Project
A class day (or longer) spent immersed in a Shakespeare play, including drama, art and written outcomes (if required). I can also deliver a Shakespeare experience for multiple classes over a day.
The Iron Man
Explore the world of Ted Hughes' Iron Man book over the course of a day or longer. Written and artistic outcomes. Best suited Y4 and above.
The Great Fire of London
Have a day immersed in The Great Fire of London. Use drama, art and writing to explore what life would have been like on Pudding Lane in 1666. Aimed at Y2.
British Values, Parliament, Democracy and Debate
Make British Values fun, relevant and impactful. Get a class or group of children to spend the day learning about democracy, our parliament and how to debate. They will explore the Rights of Children and do their own research around current topics, which culminates in multiple debates. Best suited for Y5/6.
Play in a Day
A class or group of children will rehearse and perform a simple play within the day. They can perform to other classes or parents at the end of the day. A hall space would be required for the day.
The Island
The children will spend the day creating a whole class island civilisation. Within this, they will discuss their rule of law, language, traditions, decide where different areas should be on a map, create stories for their island and much more. It will enhance their oracy skills, team work, critical thinking and tap into the key British Values in a relevant and engaging way. Best suited for KS2 (the older they are the more they can get out of it).
Poetry
Give your children a day to explore their poetic talents, through PSHE poetry or poetry on a specific theme. The work can be written up for display as part of the learning.
The Victorians
Spend the morning exploring the life of Charlie Chimney Sweep (based on the book) and creating diary entries from his perspective. Different hands on Victorian activities can be done in the afternoon, including handling real Victorian items. This can be done over multiple classes and children can dress up (if planned in advance).
