Whether you’re looking for a brief external view on an area of school development, or longer-term support to further build on your school’s effectiveness, I can adapt my offer to suit your needs. I have a wide range of experience in supporting schools, senior leaders and teachers in enhancing their practice and I would love to get to know your school and see if I can do the same for you.
Every consultant is different and brings their own approach, personality and experience to what they offer, and I believe that you have to find the right consultant or ‘educational friend’ to work with. In this context, I would very much like to offer my unique personality and relationship-based approach (and at a price I hope you feel is affordable). Resent consultancy and support work includes: developing KS2 writing curriculum through drama, supporting the work of an F2 unit, helping a school improve their high quality work and environment, as well as one off days in schools and MATs.
Cost of consultancy starts from £450 for a whole day, with half days starting from £250. Costs are negotiable depending on the type of service you require. A free staff meeting is available for any school who books a day or more consultancy.
Headteacher
As a headteacher, I can be an experienced and supportive 'educational friend' to current heads or offer knowledgeable guidance to other leaders and staff.
NPQSL Coach / NPQH Mentor
I'm a qualified coach for NPQSL and NPQH mentor. I'm also an ECT mentor trainer. I can offer similar support to your staff in these areas.
Reading Lead
I've years of experience of developing reading within my own school and supporting other schools to enhance their reading curriculum, especially ensuring reading is embedded and celebrated.
CPD Course Leader / SLE
Having been an SLE and CPD course leader for over 10 year, I have created and led CPD on a wide range of areas, for 1:1 staff, student teachers, ECTs, whole school and leaders.
Primary Shakespeare Specialist
I have worked very closely with both the RSC and Shakespeare's Birthplace Trust, as well as being awarded the Outstanding Educator Award for Teaching Shakespeare. I know the power of using Shakespeare in primary schools and am an expert in helping schools embed this into their curriculum for all year groups.
Staff Development
I've led and planned many different CPD offers for staff from a variety of schools. In particular, I offer can offer a multi-week program of support for teachers who would benefit from personalised CPD to help them reach their full potential.
High Quality Work Expert
I am passionate about supporting children and staff to produce high quality or Take Care work in all year groups. Not only does this ensure children have high expectations for themselves, but having well-displayed work, gives the children a purpose for their work. I have spent my career developing ways to achieve this with staff and children and can do the same for your school.
Drama Specialist
As the former Director of Education for a theatre in York and a primary drama specialist, I have vast experience of incorporating drama into the school curriculum in a way that will have long term impact on the children.
Display and Environment
I firmly believe that the environment we create in school reflects the expectations, ambition and aspirations we have for the children and they have for themselves. If you are looking to enhance the environment and displays across your school or certain classrooms, I am the person who can support you with this.
Democracy and Debate
As a UK Parliament Gold Ambassador, I can deepen the integration of democracy, Parliament, pupil voice, debate and other British Values into your curriculum.

Ensuring a school has strong and embedded ethos and values is key to delivering that Beyond Expectations Education we want for the children. I will work with your school to help ensure these are clear and used in an impacful way.
